Last updated: October 27, 2026
At Ulaine (https://ulaine.com), we take care of your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices and rights you have. It applies to customers and visitors in Canada and the United States, and it follows Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws.
Who we are
Ulaine is operated by Axel Sanchez.
Address: 55 Cooper Street, Toronto, ON M5E 0G1, Canada
Email: support@ulaine.com
Privacy Officer: Axel Sanchez is responsible for how we handle your personal information. You can reach him at the email above.
Information we collect
- Contact and shipping details: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses.
- Order details: the products you buy, amounts paid, returns, and the messages you send us.
- Payment details: handled by our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
- Browsing details: your IP address, device, browser, pages visited, and information collected through cookies and similar technologies.
We need the information marked as required at checkout to process your order. Without it, we can’t complete your purchase.
How we use your information
- To process your order, ship it, and handle returns, refunds and our money-back guarantee.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
- To send you marketing emails or text messages, only if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. Agreeing to receive marketing is never a condition of purchase.
- To measure store traffic and show you relevant ads, using cookies, where you have allowed it (see “Cookies” below).
We collect, use and share your information only with your consent, which may be express or implied depending on the situation, or as permitted or required by law. We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with those who need it to serve you:
- Shopify, the platform that runs our store. Shopify processes information on our behalf and, for some of its own purposes, under its own privacy policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers).
- Payment processors and banks, to take your payment.
- Our product supplier and shipping carriers, who receive your name, address and phone number to prepare and deliver your order.
- Email, analytics and advertising partners (such as Meta, Google and TikTok), where you have allowed it.
- Professional advisers and government authorities, when the law requires it.
Our service providers may be located outside Canada, including in the United States and, for our supplier, in other countries. When your information is stored or processed outside Canada, it is protected by our agreements with these providers, but it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of those countries.
Your privacy choices (U.S. residents)
Sharing information with advertising partners through cookies to show you personalized ads may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information under some U.S. state laws. You can opt out at any time using the “Your privacy choices” link in our store footer or the cookie banner. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out.
How long we keep it
- Order information: for as long as needed to serve you, then for the periods required by law (for example, six years for tax and accounting records) and for the length of our guarantee.
- Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookie data: for the periods shown in our cookie banner.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Depending on where you live (including some U.S. states), you may also have the right to receive a copy of your information and to opt out of targeted advertising.
To make a request, email us at support@ulaine.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (https://www.priv.gc.ca) or your state’s privacy authority or Attorney General.
Cookies
We use essential cookies that our store needs to work. With your permission, we also use analytics and advertising cookies, our own and from third parties. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or the “Your privacy choices” link.
Children
Our store is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Our store uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), payments are processed in PCI DSS-certified environments, and we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach when the law requires it.
Links and changes
Other websites linked from our store have their own privacy policies. We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
